Books make a creative Christmas

I shared a post of a picture of a Christmas tree made of books on facebook the other day and today my friend Margriet sent me her version of a book tree .   So, I thought I’d post a few others to give you even more ideas.

Here’s a few others that I’ve come across.

I like it! So much better than the book art which involved cutting them up and destroying them.

I love these book/trees, but, I also loved those anonymous miniature sculptures turning up at libraries in England. The idea that books are also art is so staggeringly simple yet brilliant…it’a a show versus tell sort of thing!

What fun. I liked seeing the last one, as I see it is the effort of a creative librarian!

One of the things I really like about these trees is their multipurposeness (I know that’s not a word but it ought to be). Once their finished being Xmas trees, they can be books again! And yes, it’s cool that librarians came up with this!

How cool! I love books and this is my dream. Lol.

If you wanted to add a free book to this picture, I’ve just interviewed Vikki Wakefield on her stunning debut novel, ALL I EVER WANTED. She’s also holding a giveaway for FREE, signed copies. If you want, you can check it out at: http://wp.me/p1WPf3-6r

Thanks for the tip Rebecca. Don’t have time right now, but I’ve subscribed to your blog so will check it out later. I love Melbourne by the way. Was there a few years ago and loved seeing art everywhere!

Love the pictures. I saw the last one the other day on bookshelfporn (pictures of bookshelves – no nudes involved) but I hadn’t seen the other two. Very cute 🙂
